The project was started by a developer who wanted to address the shortage of affordable housing on Cape Cod. The family spent summers in their Dennis home and they felt they could help the community. 

We were hired to design apartments for 18 new rental units ranging from one to three bedrooms under the Massachusetts State Law Chapter 40B. Six townhouses with three units each were organized around two circular courtyards. Each townhouse was juxta positioned on the site in order to allow visual privacy between the units. The geometry and framing were kept simple. Size, scale, materials and style in keeping with the neighborhood. 

The Town approved the project and the permitting process was complete however the neighbors were in opposition and therefore the project was placed on hold.
