S.A. Architecture was established in 1998. Our studio in Orleans, Cape Cod focuses on work that is contextual with a sense of rootedness and spirit. The buildings are designed to be functional with careful consideration of light, nature, views and experience to meet the specific needs of each client. 

Committed to ecologically sensible design, every project is developed to be site specific. For projects in need of energy services, the client’s desired targets for energy performance are met by utilizing passive design strategies to integrating aggressive standards to achieve net zero energy buildings.

As principal of the studio, Sibel Asantugrul focuses on work specific to the Cape including residential, commercial, and not-for–profit schools and health care centers.

Prior to establishing the studio, Sibel worked as an architect at various firms in Boston and New York City including Edward Larrabee Barnes Architect. She received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University in 1984 and studied at Columbia University in the Masters in Building Design program in 1985.
